In honor of Helsinki Day, we’re taking Baby Yogi Club out to the amphitheatre next to the Opera House. This 60 minute yoga session is for babies and their parents (one, both or several) or other caregivers of the baby.
We’ll be doing a practice that incorporates stretches for the entire body (especially those baby-carrying muscles), some standing sequences, and ends in a sweet relaxation. The practice can be done with or without your baby (if they want to nap in the stroller, that’s totally okay too), and is best suited for babies who are at least six weeks old. Babies are the best teachers, so your practice can be baby-lead, based on your little buddy’s needs to nurse, nap, or have a nappy change.
All you need to bring is yourself, your baby (dressed for the occasion) a blanket for them to hang out on and a yoga mat for yourself.
The session will be in English, but Finnish guidance is always available. As part of the Helsinki Day programme, the event is free of charge. ♥ If the weather is terrible, we’ll come up with plan B.
The next full BABY YOGI CLUB course (five weeks) will kick off in August at Roots Helsinki, in Vallila. Before that, you can catch another BYC special session at Magnesia Festival in Suomenlinna, 4.8.2019.
