Summer Concerts at the Helsinki Music Centre: Tears of Joy – evening concert

The Helsinki Music Centre will present live music on summer afternoons featuring students from the Sibelius Academy. The concerts will be held every day throughout the summer at 2pm!

On Helsinki Day, there will be two concerts – at 2pm and 6pm – presenting Tears of Joy!

Tears of Joy is a band that performs energetic rock composed by Ilkka and Tapio Aunu, who have been influenced by R&B, pop and funk. Their melodic songs combine a positive attitude with catchy riffs and dance rhythms.

The band members include Tapio Aunu on electric guitar, Ilkka Aunu on vocals, Arian Kermanchi on keyboards and Joel Lindfors on drums. The band released its Turn it On EP in autumn 2017 and is heading back into the studio this spring to record new music.
Tears of Joy is known for their catchy in virtuosic skills!

The concerts will be held at the terrace of the café (Attm! weather permitting!) , where you can enjoy snacks and refreshments while listening to the music.
Each concert lasts 45 minutes.
Free admission to all concerts, including on Helsinki Day – welcome!

The main foyer is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, and there is special signage for the visually impaired. The sound volume does not require the use of ear protection.
